Almost half of all the people Jewish Voice treats in our Medical Outreach Clinics are children. In 2017, we provided medical care to nearly 14,000 children in Zimbabwe. We also gave them, their families and schools LifeStraw water purifying systems to ensure the children had access to clean drinking water.

But part of the reality among poor people in a country like Zimbabwe is that the daily struggle to survive leaves children with little opportunity to just be children.

Because of this, we’ve implemented new efforts to reach out to many more children in the communities we serve, to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of these children in even more meaningful ways.

In these Jewish Voice programs, volunteers make sure each child knows that he or she is loved and affirmed.

Jewish Voice is also giving support for Shabbat schools and early childhood development centers, as well as helping to pay school fees when needed.

But Jewish Voice can’t do all this alone. That’s why I’m asking you today to partner with Jewish Voice to help care for the physical and spiritual needs of Jewish children in Zimbabwe.
