As we prepare for Purim (March 23-24), we remember how God used a faithful woman named Esther to deliver His Chosen People from destruction. To celebrate their deliverance, the Jewish people set aside Purim “as the time when the Jews got relief from their enemies, and as the month when their sorrow was turned into joy and their mourning into a day of celebration” (Esther 9:22).
