Shalom! Yes, that is our greeting to you, but it’s also something we want to highlight in this Prayer Update. Our Global Ministries Team and volunteers will be traveling to Woliso, Ethiopia for our medical outreach from January 30 through February 8. The shalom of Yeshua is a deep need there.
What exactly is shalom? It is a greeting that is largely understood to mean peace, but it also signifies a very deep and all-encompassing sense of blessing and well-being. Strong’s Concordance (#7965) reveals that among other aspects, shalom includes happiness, welfare, health, and prosperity. It is the presence of all good things and the absence of strife, agitation, and discord. Shalom is also strongly connected to who Yeshua (Jesus) is, as He is our Prince of Peace, our “Sar Shalom.”

We also pray for a true shalom over you, your family, and every area of your life in 2015! Even in the midst of turbulent times, may Yeshua bring blessing and be your peace!
