URGENT PRAYER UPDATE

July 24, 2014

The United Nations Human Rights Council drafted a resolution Wednesday demanding an independent investigation be launched against Israel, charging violations of international humanitarian and human rights laws in Gaza and condemning “widespread, systematic and gross violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms.” In an emergency meeting, 29 UN-member countries voted in favor of the investigation with the single negative vote coming from the United States. Seventeen countries abstained. The resolution also contains language demanding that Israel reopen the Gaza Strip to allow “urgently needed humanitarian services to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip,” despite the act that when a ceasefire was called to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza, Hamas continued to launch rockets into Israel.

Please continue to pray for God to be at work, as the battle for the land He gave His People thousands of years ago rages on.  The hatred directed at Israel is truly a spiritual issue, and the enemy is using the situation to fan the flames of anti-Semitism on a global scale.   Now is the time to intercede for Israel, and the Jewish People.
