The first Sunday of every October is the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem. The Bible calls us to pray for Israel, and in Psalm 122, it specifically talks about praying for Jerusalem.
Sometimes, we don’t like the truth. But as worshippers of the one true God, who is “the way, the truth and the life” (John 14:6), the truth is a vital part of dwelling with God.
This year a second lockdown to try and contain the spread of the coronavirus has already closed non-essential businesses and Israelis have been ordered to stay within 1,000 yards of their homes.
